HARBOR SPRINGS — Thousands made their way to northern Emmet County over the weekend for Blissfest, a three-day music festival housed on a 200-acre property just outside of Cross Village.
This year’s festival, held July 11-13, featured more than 125 different acts. The music festival is the largest annual fundraiser for the Blissfest Music Organization, a year-round nonprofit.
Despite some rain, spirits were high at the 43rd annual festival. People enjoyed camping, crafting and live music performances of all kinds.
This year’s lineup included performances from Lindsay Lou, Dustbowl Revival, Steve Poltz, Toubab Krewe, Jigjam, Bobby Alu and more.
Whether people stuck to the main stage or traveled throughout the grounds to find the Drum Kiva or Song Tree, guests and volunteers alike were able to enjoy music while surrounded by Northern Michigan’s finest nature.
Each year, according to the festival’s website, the event welcomes around 5,000 visitors, 1,000 volunteers and more than 75 vendors from across the United States and Canada.
