At this point, Notre Dame fans will take expert commitment projections with a grain of salt, especially considering what happened last week with star linebacker Kaden Henderson.
Multiple predictions came in for him to land with the Irish, but he ended up picking Texas A&M. Hopefully that will not be the case with another five-star offensive lineman. Albert Simien, a 6-foot, 4-inch 280-pounder, plans to commit Friday, On Wednesday, three experts at On3 (subscription required) declared they believe Notre Dame will be the pick.
Two flipped their predictions from the Aggies to the Irish, which is a bit bittersweet considering what happened with Henderson. However, this one seems a bit different. Simien officially visited Notre Dame last, which the linebacker never got around to doing.
The hope is these predictions are correct, and the Irish will add the nation’s No. 14 overall prospect on the 247Sports composite on Friday.
