With training camp drawing closer, we will be highlighting the one big question that faces each of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ position groups.
Next up is the defensive end unit, where the Jaguars need a steadier pass-rush presence behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker.
Who can emerge and make an impact at the Jaguars’ defensive end rotation?
With Hines-Allen and Walker leading the way, the Jaguars are obviously positioned well at defensive end. That said, this is a relatively heavily rotated position group, with four or sometimes even five players seeing regular snaps on a weekly basis.
Who is going to take the bulk of those rotational snaps this season, and where that pass rush production is going to come from, remains to be seen.
The Jaguars will be relying on mostly inexperienced players to fill those roles, and oftentimes with inexperience, comes unknowns.
Danny Striggow and BJ Green were primarily special teams contributors in Year 1, although they did see more defensive snaps as the year went on. Wesley Williams and Zach Durfee are incoming rookies selected on Day 3.
The name of the game is pressuring the quarterback, and as a collective unit, there is room for improvement in 2026 for the Jaguars, who ranked a modest 18th in pressure rate in 2025 and 27th in sacks.
At least one of the four players mentioned will need to emerge and provide a consistent pass rush presence, but who’s it going to be?
