The 2026 Indiana high school boys soccer season kicks off on Aug. 15. The IndyStar has compiled the top players to watch before opening day.
Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name. This list was compiled with input from local coaches.
Michael Bonaccorsi, Cathedral, MF
Bonaccorsi registered two goals and two assists for a Cathedral team that went 10-6-3 last season. He played in 18 games for the Fighting Irish.
Sam Caswell, Brownsburg, F/MF
Caswell led the Bulldogs with 11 assists last season. He also scored 12 goals, which ranked second on the team. He helped Brownsburg reach the Class 3A regional finals.
Miles Dubie, Park Tudor, F
Dubie led the Panthers with 37 points last season. He ranked second in goals (15) and posted seven assists to his resume.
Bennett Ford, Park Tudor, D
Ford tied for the most assists (10) on his team last season. He found the back of the net four times as a junior.
Ashton Hancock, Noblesville, F
Hancock totaled three goals and an assist last season. He helped the Millers earn a 9-4-4 record.
Mikey Kubek, Carmel, MF
Kubek led the Greyhounds with eight assists last season. He accumulated 1,315 minutes and chipped in three goals.
Derick Montoya, Perry Meridian, MF
Montoya was the team leader in goals with eight for the Falcons last season. He played in 14 games and chipped in an assist.
Gray Morgan, Carmel, GK
Morgan secured 15 shutouts for a Carmel team that won the Class 3A state championship last season. The Greyhounds finished 18-1-3 with Morgan patrolling their goal.
Nery Pacheco, McCutcheon, MF/D
Pacheco went nuclear on the pitch last season. He scored 35 goals, which ranked 10th in the state and fourth among all juniors. He helped the Mavericks post a 12-4-2 record and posted six assists.
Cooper Perez, HSE, MF
Cooper Perez paced HSE with 10 assists last season. He also chipped in four goals, which ranked third on the team. The Royals finished 11-4-5 last season and won a sectional title over Fishers. He scored the game-winning goal with a penalty kick in that game.
Diego Perez, Park Tudor, MF
Diego Perez reached double digit status last season with 10 goals and 10 assists. He tied for the most assists on the team.
Amare Reese, Lawrence Central, MF
Reese scored the third most goals with six for the Bears last season. He also tied for third place in assists with five.
Arian Reyes, Brownsburg, D
Reyes totaled four goals and one assist as a defender last season. He helped the Bulldogs reach the 3A regional finals.
