The temperature continues to fluctuate this week across central Indiana with the National Weather Service issuing a freeze watch for Tuesday, April 7.
We could see a high of 71 degrees near the end of the week, but the temperature could dip below freezing overnight at the beginning of the week.
Freeze watch issued for central Indiana
According to the freeze watch issued by NWS Indianapolis, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 are possible between 2-10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7.
“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” NWS said in the freeze watch.
The watch is includes the following Indiana counties: Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion and Warren.

Friday, April 10: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. South southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Friday night: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast after midnight.
Saturday, April 11: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 73.
Saturday night: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 59.
Sunday, April 12: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 81.
