A grand jury has indicted an FBI agent arrested in Indianapolis on a charge of sexual battery, according to Indiana State Police.
Timothy C. Healy, 46, originally from Virginia, was booked into the Marion County Jail on May 6 and released the next day, according to jail records. His bond was set at $5,000.
Healy was visiting someone he knew, which is why he was in Indianapolis, when the alleged crime took place in October 2025, according to an email statement from Indiana State Police, which is handling the investigation.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office told IndyStar that the grand jury returned a true bill on a charge of sexual battery.
In the one-count indictment, Healy is accused of assaulting a woman “by force or imminent threat of force” and indicates the woman may have been “unaware that the touching was occurring.”
Although employed as an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he was not assigned to the FBI Indianapolis Office. IndyStar reached out to the FBI’s National Press Office in Washington D.C. about Healy’s arrest, but did not hear back from the agency.
His photo and information have been scrubbed from his biography page of the FBI’s website, which originally stated that Healy was a supervisory special agent who served with the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Unit in Quantico, Virginia.
Police wrote in a report that Healy surrendered to law enforcement at the Marion County Community Justice Campus after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
His initial hearing was on May 8, with a pretrial conference scheduled for June 26.
IndyStar was unable to reach Healy for comment. His attorney, Ronald Leo Gemma Jr., didn’t have an immediate comment on the case, but said a statement could be forthcoming.
