Dad’s day could be a damp one.
The National Weather Service Indianapolis office forecasts a mostly sunny day followed by scattered thunderstorms in Central Indiana for June 21.
The high is expected to be around 79 degrees. The low will be around 63 degrees at night.
Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and tonight.
The area is under threat of damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes, with the greatest tornado threat being south of Interstate 74 and more likely from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Heavy rain and flooding are possible. A flood watch is in effect for much of central Indiana through Monday morning.

Here’s what’s expected for the next 24 hours, according to the National Weather Service Indianapolis office:
Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming south southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning. The chance of precipitation is 30%.
Sunday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 a.m.; then scattered showers and thunderstorms between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., with showers likely after 5 a.m. Low around 63. South southeast wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. The chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., then a chance of showers after 3 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 75. West southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40%.
