The 2026 Indiana high school boys track season was nothing short of exciting. The top track athletes made their mark in a season that culminated on June 6.
Now, it’s time for you to be heard and choose the boys track and field Athlete of the Year.

Banner Barnes, Noblesville
Barnes closed his junior season with a runner-up finish at the state meet. The Butler commit placed second (4:04.89) in the 1600 meter run. He also placed seventh in the 800 meter run.
Noah Bontrager, Westview
Bontrager, a Notre Dame commit, became a double champion and set two new state records in his final appearance at the boys state track meet. He broke his own 1600 record with a time of 4:01.83 as a senior. He also won the 3200 at 8:47.57, topping the previous record of 8:51.15 set in 2012.
Collin Bumgardner, Danville
Bumgardner declared himself the state’s fastest sprinter with state wins in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash. He clocked in a time of 10.58 seconds in the 100 finals and a 21.15 in the 200 finals. Bumgardner is an Indiana State commit.
Leon Fowler, Mishawaka
Fowler clinched the state long jump title with a jump of 24 feet, 6 inches.
Rylan Hainje, Franklin Central
Hainje went nuclear at the state meet by beating two of his previous records as a senior. The Marian commit ran a 13.16 in the 110-meter hurdles and 35.26 in the 300-meter hurdles.
Weston Ott, Churubusco
Ott swept the throwing events at state as a senior. He secured a throw of 65-2 in the shot put and a 191-10 in discus.
Jordan Randall, Warsaw
Randall won his second consecutive state title in the high jump. As a senior, the Georgia recruit recorded a leap of 7-2 for first place, just shy of the state meet record of 7-4.
Jordan Redmon, Brownsburg
Redmon ran second leg for the state-winning 4×100 relay team that ran a record time of 40.60. Individually, he placed third (21.51) in the 200-meter dash as a freshman.
Isaac Roman, Crown Point
As a junior, Roman won the pole vault at state. He recorded a vault of 16 feet, 3 inches.
Michael Walker Jr., Hammond Morton
Walker Jr. capped off his sophomore season with a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash. He ran a time of 10.65 for silver. He also placed seventh in the 200-meter dash finals.
Evan Williams, Lawrence Central
Williams, an Indiana commit, placed second in the 110-meter hurdles at the state meet with a time of 13.90.
Caleb Winders, Bloomington North
Winders won two state medals at the boys state track meet. Individually, he won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:49.36. The North Carolina commit ran the opening leg for the state-winning 4×800 team. It was the school’s fourth consecutive win in the event.
