The tornado was moving east at 45 mph and was headed across Interstate 69 after passing near the Gosport and Stinesville areas.

Tornado sirens sounded in the Bloomington area but the tornado was north of the city.

At 10:17 p.m., the tornado sirens sounded again in Bloomington as the NWS issued a tornado warning for the area until 10:45 p.m.

At 10:25 p.m. the National Weather Service said a tornado warning remained in effect for 20 minutes with radar indicated rotation. Locations expected to be impacted by the possible tornado included Nashville, Spurgeons Corner, Yellowwood Lake, Woodville Hills, Elkinsville, Stone Head, Gnaw Bone and Story.

I-69 is closed in both directions near mile marker 130 due to a “traffic hazard,” the Indiana Department of Transportation reported at 10:36 p.m. Fox59 reported that the closure was due to trees and power lines in the roadway.

Other reports indicated possible tornados in other nearby areas, including one at 10:39 p.m. located 8 miles west Linton in Greene County.
