We are already deep into high school football commitment season for the 2027 graduating class.
There are a couple of major dominoes to fall, but here the commitments from the top in-state prospects in the 2027 class (rankings by 247sports):
1: WR Monshun Sales, Lawrence North
College choice: Uncommitted
National rank: No. 13 overall, No. 1 receiver (5-star)
Comment: Sales finished his originally scheduled official visits with a trip to Ohio State over the weekend. He has now visited Indiana, Alabama, Texas and Ohio State. He is now scheduled to take an official visit to LSU on Tuesday.

2: LB Sean Fox, Warren Central
College choice: Uncommitted
National rank: No. 153 overall, No. 10 linebacker (4-star)
Comment: Fox has taken official visits to Georgia, Clemson and Kentucky.

3: OL Caleb Johnson, Noblesville
College choice: Michigan State
National rank: No. 213 overall, No. 13 interior lineman (4-star)
Comment: The 6-5, 275-pound lineman picked Michigan State over on June 13 over Indiana, Iowa and others.

4: WR Branden Sharpe, Brownsburg
College choice: Indiana
National rank: No. 234 overall, No. 34 wide receiver (4-star)
Comment: Sharpe committed to IU on May 18 over offers Cincinnati, Purdue, Vanderbilt and others.

5: DB Kaleb Elkins, Warren Central
College choice: Purdue
National rank: No. 26 safety (4-star)
Comment: Elkins committed to Purdue on June 10 over Vanderbilt and others.

6: DE Chris Wilson, Yorktown
College choice: West Virginia
National rank: No. 28 edge rusher (3-star)
Comment: Wilson picked West Virginia over Cincinnati, Iowa State and Kansas, among others, on June 11.
7: DE Ifeanyi Emedobi, Fort Wayne Northrop
College choice: Uncommitted
National rank: No. 29 edge rusher (3-star)
Comment: Emedobi has taken official visits to Minnesota and Penn State and will now visit Michigan. A commitment is expected soon.
8: QB Jack Sorgi, Tri-West
College choice: Wisconsin
National rank: No. 20 quarterback (3-star)
Comment: Sorgi was originally committed to Louisville, but changed course and committed to Wisconsin, his father Jim’s alma mater.

9: OL Mason McDermott, Noblesville
College choice: Indiana
National rank: No. 45 offensive tackle (3-star)
Comment: The 6-7, 285-pound McDermott committed to IU over Northwestern, Missouri, UCLA and others on May 17.

National rank: No. 60 defensive lineman (3-star)
Comment: The 6-4, 260-pound Sowunmi committed to Missouri on May 27 over Kansas State, Cincinnati and several others.

College choice: Texas A&M
National rank: No. 52 safety (3-star)
Comment: Kerns originally committed to Miami (Ohio), quickly picked up several Power Four offers this spring and committed to the Aggies over Michigan, Ohio State and Indiana on May 28.

College choice: Michigan
National rank: No. 45 edge rusher (3-star)
Comment: The 6-5, 240-pound Brewer committed to Michigan on May 9 over Indiana, Purdue and others.

National rank: No. 38 athlete (3-star)
Comment: Moore took an official visit to Missouri and has another lined up to Cincinnati this weekend.

National rank: No. 77 safety (3-star)
Comment: Toomer committed to the Cardinals on June 9 over Cincinnati, Missouri, Purdue and others.
16: OL Jeremiah Jones, Michigan City
College choice: Indiana
National rank: No. 71 offensive tackle (3-star)
Comment: The 6-6, 275-pound Jones was one of the first in the class to commit, picking the Hoosiers in January after a Junior day event.
17: OL Nick Schurman, Westfield
College choice: Purdue
National rank: No. 59 interior offensive lineman (3-star)
Comment: The 6-4, 280-pound Schurman committed to Purdue on June 11 over Stanford and Virginia.

Comment: The 6-4, 230-pound Woodson, the brother of former Notre Dame star and Dallas Cowboy Jaylon Smith, committed to Iowa State on Monday.

Comment: The 6-foot, 205-pound Thomas took official visits to UConn, Illinois and Iowa and seems poised to pick from those three programs.

Comment: The 6-foot, 220-pound Reyna committed to Purdue on May 22 over Minnesota and Rutgers.
