The 2026 NFL Draft is finally underway, and teams have started bolstering their rosters with some of the nation’s best talent in college football.
It was a memorable first round on Thursday that consisted of trades galore in the back half of the draft, some surprising picks (including quarterback Ty Simpson to the Los Angeles Rams), plenty of chaos and some notable prospects (including Kayden McDonald and T.J. Parker) falling out of Round 1.
The Chicago Bears selected safety Dillon Thieneman with the 25th overall pick, which adds a speedy, versatile weapon for the secondary in Dennis Allen’s defense.
Heading into Day 2, the Bears have three total picks, including two in the second round (Nos. 57, 60) and one in the third round (No. 89). With some top prospects still on the board, Chicago is primed to land some impact contributors.
