The Sinnissippi Park Music Shell will soon come to life with the sounds of the summer as the Rockford Park District’s summer concert series, Rockford Jams, kicks off June 5.
Shows take place in among the trees in Sinnissippi Park, 2010 Arlington Ave. in Rockford. Performances are at 7 p.m.
The concert series, which is a mix of free performances and $5 shows, is celebrating its 75th year.
Here’s the lineup for summer 2025.
June 5
LynSkynyrd is the Midwest’s premier Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute band, executing the classic Lynyrd Skynyrd sound on classics such as Gimme Three Steps, Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird. Special guest at 6 p.m.

Thunderstruck: America’s AC/DC is an AC/DC tribute band that aims to bring fans both the AC/DC sound and the high-voltage energy, performing sold-out tribute shows from coast-to-coast. Special guest at 6 p.m.

Sparks Fly: The Taylor Swift Experience is a Taylor Swift tribute band. Sammy Jo is a Joliet native with humble beginnings, who played piano at only five years of age.

“Music Through the Decades” will be performed by the Rockford Concert Band. Conductor: Matt Mauizio. Trumpet Soloist: Laura Schulz. Vocal Soloist: Abraham Barrientos.

“Marches, Overtures and Dragons” will be performed by the Rockford Concert Band. Conductor: Tim Perian. Euphonium Soloist: Luke McMillian. Vocal Soloist: Ryan Hoffman.

Chicago Tribute Anthology is a Chicago tribute band. CTA brings to life the ‘Golden Age’ of Chicago by meticulously recreating many of the great songs from the band’s first 11 albums. Special guest at 6 p.m.

The Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps is a world-renowned musical ensemble with a history dating back to the 1950s. The Phantom Regiment combines music, motion and the pursuit of excellence.

July 1
“A Musical Celebration of America’s Birthday” will be performed by the Rockford Concert Band. Conductor: Chip Braker. Xylophone Soloist: Bryce Strunk. Vocal Soloist: Ryan Jensen.

Kashmir is a Led Zeppelin tribute band that seeks to re-create the experience of a ‘70s Zeppelin show, utilizing authentic vintage stage gear, costumes and special effects. Special guest at 6 p.m.

“Movies, Musicals, and More” will be performed by the Rockford Concert Band. Conductor: TJ Mack. Oboe Soloist: Gracie McMahon. Vocal Soloist: The Studio Rockford.

Jump is a Van Halen tribute band known for performing sold-out shows across multiple states and international tours in Canada and Australia. Special guest at 6 p.m.

“The Rockford Park District & Rockford Concert Band — 75 Years of Melodies & Memories” will be performed by the Rockford Concert Band. Conductor: Tom Huber. Saxophone Soloist: Alex Teater. Vocal Soloist: Jennifer Grubb.

Steely Dane is a Steely Dan tribute band dedicated to reproducing the Steely Dan and Donald Fagen songbook and bringing an energetic live-show experience to the crowd.

Rockford Jams V6 will feature some of the finest local and regional artists hitting the stage for storytelling and great music. Compositions of original songwriting from six groups will be performed.

Danielle Juhre is a Nashville-based singer and songwriter known for her three-octave range. Songwriting collaborations include Timbaland, Ryan Tedder, Hunter Hayes, Jeff Gitty, Tommy Brown, Jon Levine, Carter Faith and more.

Elton Jeff & The Honky Cats is an Elton John tribute band featuring a well-crafted experience of Elton John’s chart-topping favorites that have been embraced by multiple generations along with visual elements.

Rock Valley College Summer Orchestra is made up of musicians from the Music Academy in Rockford, Rock Valley College, Rockford Symphony Orchestra and local professional musicians.

The Chicago-based Blooze Brothers Band performs music from The Blues Brothers movie along with selections from Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Bruno Mars, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin and Motown and classic rock favorites.

Think Floyd USA is a Pink Floyd tribute band that celebrates the music of Pink Floyd with a full-production tribute performance that showcases nine musicians and vocalists. Special guest at 6 p.m.

About Rockford Jams
All guests will be directed by the event staff to first available parking spaces. Guests requiring accessible parking should notify event staff as they enter the park. Full concessions, including beer and wine, are for sale beginning at 5:30 p.m. Outside food and beverages are welcome, however, no outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Bench seating is provided. Lawn chairs are welcome. Limited grassy areas are available for seating, as well.
Shows are either free or $5 for general admission seating. There’s also single-event VIP seating for $20, a $40 bundle that covers admission for the season and a $200 bundle that includes VIP seating for all eight prime concerts.
