The Chicago Bears have finalized a trade to send veteran wide receiver DJ Moore (and a fifth-round pick) to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a second-round pick.
The move doesn’t come as a surprise given Moore was set to have a $28.5 million salary cap hit in 2026. Now, Chicago saves $16.5 million in cap space while also landing a prime draft pick in the process.
There has been plenty of reaction following the Bears trading Moore, and some of his now-former teammates are also weighing in. One Bears player who is facing the possibility of leaving Chicago in free agency is safety Jaquan Brisker, who shared his heartbreak after Moore was traded.
Brisker was teammates with Moore for three seasons, and now the reconstruction of Chicago’s roster is certainly underway following Thursday’s trade, the sudden retirement of center Drew Dalman and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds’ release.
The 2025 Bears will always have a place in franchise history, where the relationship between the players was undeniable, and DJ Moore will have two of the most famous catches in Bears history with two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 and the wild-card playoffs.
