Illinois counties, cities listed as sanctuary jurisdictions by Trump administration

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly reported the number of Illinois jurisdictions on the list.

The Trump administration has added more than 100 Illinois counties and cities to a national list of jurisdictions that could be targeted if they do not comply with federal immigration laws.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a list of counties and cities across the United States on Thursday that it deemed to be sanctuary cities and counties not in compliance with federal immigration law.

“Our law enforcement are not (unequivocally) coordinating with ICE officials,” Pritzker told NBC Chicago. “They are coordinating on violent criminals who have been convicted and are undocumented.”

Pritzker’s office did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

The following Illinois counties and cities were included on the DHS list as of the morning of May 30:
