Dan Campbell: 'The sky's the limit' for Lions WR Jameson Williams in 2025

Jameson Williams is healthy and unencumbered from any off-field peccadillos for the first time in his NFL career. The Detroit Lions and head coach Dan Campbell are loving what they’re seeing from “Jamo” as he enters his fourth NFL season.

Campbell couldn’t help but gush over Williams ahead of the team’s OTA session on Friday.

“The sky’s the limit for him,” Campbell said of the speedy wideout, now wearing No. 1 in a Lions uniform.

Campbell noted of Williams that “he’s got a ton of growth left” and “he’s had a good spring.” What specifically is Campbell seeing from Williams?

“There are so many things we can do just with his routes, on the outside and things he can do inside. With his speed and — he’s gotten so much stronger. His ability to stop, put his foot in the ground. When you can run like he can run and now you’re getting to where you can stop on a dime; you talk about a hard cover.”

Williams hit the 1,000-yard mark in 2024 on 58 receptions. With a complete offseason and his physical and mental growth as a receiver, the Lions standout could be poised for a much more prolific fourth season in Detroit.
