Detroit Lions UDFA: EDGE Anthony Lucas injury report

The Lions have reportedly signed multiple undrafted free agents after the 2026 NFL Draft, including a young EDGE from USC in Anthony Lucas. The EDGE position was one of the Lions’ biggest positional needs entering the draft.

Here is the Anthony Lucas medical report:

Medical concern level ranges from 0 (no concern) to 10 (extreme).(Ages in parentheses are at start of 2026 season and are factored into the concern level. Anthony Lucas (21), EDGE – USC

Matt Miller’s No. 194 overall player.

Medical Concern Level: 3/10

An ankle surgery is worrisome for an EDGE rusher (see James Houston), but Lucas has a full year of proof of recovery afterwards. He may have had an injury at the end of his college career, but participated in the Shrine Bowl suggesting the injury was minor.

His young age of 21 is excellent and presents nice upside. Lucas finished college with three sacks and eight tackles for loss.
