The Chicago Bears set their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday, which featured some notable cuts and some surprises. But we knew there were changes coming with the waiver wire.
On Wednesday, the Bears claimed linebacker D’Marco Jackson and cornerback Jaylon Jones off waivers to shore up those respective positions. In corresponding roster moves, Chicago released long snapper Scott Daly and wide receiver Devin Duvernay.
The Bears also announced their 15-player practice squad, which included WR Maurice Alexander, WR Miles Boykin, RB Brittain Brown, TE Stephen Carlson, DL Xavier Carlton, LB Power Echols, LS Luke Elkin, DB Tre Flowers, DL Jonathan Ford, DB Mekhi Garner, DL Tanoh Kpassagnon, DL Jamree Kromah, OL Jordan McFadden, WR JP Richardson and OL Ricky Stromberg.
