Florida State will kick off its official visits for the summer this weekend. One of them will be 2027 three-star wide receiver Antwan Lockett, who will arrive on campus Friday.
The 6-foot, 173-pounder first visited FSU for one of their Junior Day events in January. He received an offer from the Seminoles in February, and he took an unofficial visit on April 9.
Official visits give prospects a better opportunity to see what a program has to offer. Lockett spoke on what he wants to see from Florida State and other schools going forward.
“I’m looking forward to building relationships, being developed for the next level and getting a feel for each program,” Lockett told Warchant. “I’m excited for the whole experience and being around different programs and environments.”
Lockett is the No. 959 player nationally and the No. 133 wide receiver per Rivals’ industry rankings. In the state of Georgia, he’s listed as the No. 101 prospect.
FSU has been able to establish itself as an intriguing option for Lockett thanks to offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr., as his persistence has stood out immensely.
“Coach Harris and I talk a lot,” Lockett said. “He’s been consistent and makes me feel like a priority.”
Lockett is coming off a productive junior year at Colquitt County High School. He amassed 40 receptions for 811 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Seminoles don’t currently have a wide receiver committed in their 2027 class yet. Lockett is one of their key targets along with four-star Sean Green and four-star Cam Wade.
