Instead, think designer bags and dazzling jewelry.
In October, the Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida will host Bingo for Bags & Baubles. The annual event provides an opportunity to mingle and munch, along with playing bingo for prizes, including handbags from such designers as Balmain, Gucci and Michael Kors.
Held at the Vineyards Country Club in North Naples this year, it will include a plated sit-down three-course dinner prepared by the club’s chefs.
The cost to register is $175.
Registration includes 10 rounds of bingo, with prizes awarded to the winning cardholders, plus the dinner and valet parking.
VIP registration is available for $225 with additional benefits.

The venue is located at 400 Vineyards Blvd., east of Interstate 75.
Last year, the event had 350 attendees and raised more than $75,000 for the charity, which serves Lee and Collier counties.
Founded in 1997, the Parkinson’s Association of Southwest Florida has operated independently for nearly 30 years, offering free programs and services to people touched by Parkinson’s Disease and related neurodegenerative diseases, including care partners.
