A new midweek prix-fixe dinner special in Palm Beach featuring “signature” dishes is being offered at Le Bilboquet, the chic indoor-outdoor French bistro with a courtyard in a Worth Avenue via.
On Wednesdays at the Via Encantada dining establishment, a three-course menu — which begins with an additional bite, thanks to an amuse bouche — is available.
It’s an August option offered in addition to Le Bilboquet’s regular dinner menu. Selections for the special are subject to change as a way to introduce other dishes to diners.
With the multi-course prix-fixe menu, each course is served with a beverage pairing, which typically is a carefully selected wine.
With the pairings, the meal is $85 a person.
After guests are served a “bite-and-a-sip” amuse bouche, they can choose from appetizer, main-course and dessert selections.
Appetizer selections currently include tomato gazpacho, tuna tartare and artichoke vinaigrette.
Le Bilboquet’s popular Cajun chicken, as well as moules frites and a vegetarian chickpea flatbread, are current main-course choices on the special Wednesday menu.
Dessert choices include a caramelized apple tart, chocolate mousse and vacherin, a dish made with layers of meringue, ice cream and whipped cream.
The special beverage-paired Wednesday prix-fixe menu is called Soirée Signature. That’s in large part because the menu items chosen for it are considered longtime favorites or “signatures” at Le Bilboquet.
While Le Bilboquet in Palm Beach has been open for five years, the French bistro — with several U.S. locations — was founded in New York in 1986, so certain dishes have become mainstay classics at the establishment.
