The 128 members of the Taylor Middle-High School Class of 2026 celebrated commencement at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach May 30.
Taylor’s senior class achieved an 85% college and career acceleration rate, a measure of students who have completed coursework or earned credentials demonstrating readiness for postsecondary education, the workforce or military.
Valedictorian, salutatorian and honors grads
The class had 15 students achieve scholar designations, including Valedictorian Mylee Fjerestad and Salutatorian Brianna Liehr. College-bound students earned at least $200,000 in scholarships.
Workforce preparedness
The Class of 2026 earned 89 scholar designations. Wildcats collected six Florida Seals of Biliteracy and three Florida Seals of Fine Arts.
Community service performed
Taylor seniors performed 2,650 hours of community service. Eight earned associate of arts or associate of science degrees through dual enrollment.
