Tallahassee adds another Dunkin' coffee and sweets shop to its lineup

While other chain establishments have made their exit from Tallahassee, it seems the capital city truly “runs on Dunkin.'”

The baked goods and coffee-forward franchise is bringing its 15th — yes, 15th — location to Tallahassee, continuing the brand’s strong presence around the city. The new location is coming to Southwood.

The newest 3,983-square-foot location is coming to 1959 Gainsborough Lane. An opening date has not yet been shared with the Tallahassee Democrat just yet but just know it’s “coming soon.”

Residents can find Dunkin’ doughnuts and specialty breakfast treats, coffee, espresso drinks, donuts and more at locations inside local Walmarts, the airport and neighborhoods across the city, which will now include Southwood.

More on Dunkin’

The self-proclaimed “largest coffee and donuts brand in the United States” was founded in Quincy, Massachusetts, in the 1950s. Fast forward 75 years later and it has grown to more than 14,000 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets today.

Outside of its hyper-convenient model, with Dunkin’ locations around every corner, mobile ordering, drive-thru options and on-tap features, the brand has found ways to keep its specialty brews and offerings relevant and fun. From collaborating with favorite celebrities and movie franchises to introducing limited-time menu items, Dunkin’ continues to find new ways to keep customers coming back.

The chain frequently places in the top 10 across multiple dining categories in USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards across multiple dining categories, including rankings for “Best Coffee Chain” and “Best Drive-Thru Coffee” for a number of years.
