Cue the laughter: The Palm Beach Improv is reopening, and big names are already on the calendar.
The comedy club is set to open its new venue at the Mall at Wellington Green on Labor Day weekend. Once the doors open, upcoming shows include comedy royalty Damon Wayans and rising stand-up sensation Gianmarco Soresi.
The move caps a years-long transition for the club, which anchored the downtown West Palm Beach comedy scene for over two decades before its CityPlace site was demolished to make way for the 10 & 15 CityPlace office towers.
The club had been operating out of temporary digs at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach ever since.
Now, Palm Beach Improv is stepping into its next chapter with a 13,700-square-foot space at the mall, at State Road 7 and Forest Hill Boulevard. It’ll share the venue with its rock-and-roll sister, Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen, solidifying Wellington’s push to become a premier entertainment hub.
