Social media reacts to Florida football, DJ Lagway offensive struggles vs Miami

In order to pick up its first ranked win of the season, Florida football entered Saturday’s in-state rivalry game vs. No. 6 Miami needing to have a big day from DJ Lagway and the offense.

Through the first 30 minutes of action at Hard Rock Stadium, the Gators offense appears to have stayed in Gainesville at the practice facilities.

Trailing 13-0 at halftime to the Hurricanes, Lagway and Gators offense struggled mightily, recording just 32 total yards of offense and a single first down.

Lagway completed 6 of 12 passes for 28 yards in the first half while the Gators went 0 for 7 on third downs. Seven of Lagway’s pass attempts in the first half were at or behind the line of scrimmage, according to halftime coverage on the ABC broadcast.

The Gators offensive struggles were a repeated talking point on the ABC broadcast from ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who voiced his displeasure for Florida’s offense, who got Lagway and four key offensive linemen back this season.

Here’s a snippet of reactions from those within the college football world on social media:
