A Pensacola man was arrested Friday for his alleged role in a dogfighting operation, according to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office post on Facebook.
The ECSO, working in conjunction with Escambia County Animal Welfare, has arrested Jerney Purifoy, 32, and charged him with animal fighting and cruelty towards animals.
After the arrest, the ECSO SWAT Team conducted a search warrant at a residence and located evidence of dog fighting to include IV bags, wound care paraphernalia, training manuals, a rifle and a handgun.

Was booked into Escambia County Jail on Friday afternoon and released on $15,000 bond a few hours later, according to the jail website.
The dogs were seized by Escambia County Animal Welfare, according to the ECSO.
