See FSU football's overall rating in College Football 27

Florida State’s last few lean years have seen their overall rating in College Football 27 take a dip from their dominance back when the game was part of the NCAA Football series.

In College Football 25 (2024), the Seminoles were rated as an 88 overall, with an 83 offense and a 88 defense. After a brutal 2-10 season, with the release of CFB 26, they were then rated an 82 overall across the board on both offense and defense.

Now, with the release of CFB 27 just a few days away, EA has released their ratings, and FSU is, at best, mediocre compared to the rest of their competition. The Seminoles are rated as an 82 overall, with an 83 offense and an 81 defense.

FSU is tied with the South Carolina Gamecocks and Arizona Wildcats in overall rating, with them being just behind the Virginia Cavaliers and SMU Mustangs, which are both at 83 overall.

The highest-rated ACC team is the Miami Hurricanes, at an 88 overall with a 90 offense and 86 defense. The best team in the country is the Oregon Ducks, at a flat 91 across the board. The defending national champions, the Indiana Hoosiers, are not far behind at 90 across the board as well.

Interestingly, the Seminoles still maintain being in the top 25 in terms of “toughest places to play”, although this has fallen year over year. Doak Campbell debuted as the 9th toughest in CFB 25, dropping to the 14th in CFB 26, and now, it’s the 21st toughest.

FSU will look to do well on the field and have these numbers improve as they start their season against the New Mexico State Aggies on Aug. 29.
