From fresh flavors to special events, the Southwest Florida dining scene is keeping busy this summer. This edition of restaurant news includes a new Italian eatery making its Naples debut, a block party celebration at a local favorite pizza joint, and a few curated dining experiences ranging from multi-course summer menus to globally-inspired tasting menus.

Papa Joe’s Trattoria now open in North Naples

Tucked into a North Naples strip mall just off Tamiami Trail North, Papa Joe’s Trattoria brings more than 30 years of Italian culinary tradition to Southwest Florida. The restaurant is a jack of all trades, offering all types of Italian cuisine from classic dishes like chicken parmesan and Milanese to pizzas with unique toppings and appetizers worth craving like rice balls and eggplant rollatini. Papa Joe’s has an extensive pasta selection, ranging from traditional favorites like fettucine alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs to house specialties like linguine with white clam sauce and spicy rigatoni stracciatella.

LowBrow Pizza & Beer hosting second annual block party

After the success of last year’s event, LowBrow Pizza & Beer is hosting its second annual block party in East Naples on Saturday, July 25, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Last year, LowBrow welcomed more than 1,000 guests. Owner Antonio Longobardo is expecting two to three times that attendance this year.

Guests can expect more than 20 local vendors, four local artists creating live artwork, and a surprise musical guest on the main stage. This year, LowBrow is selling raffle tickets for a giant community raffle that every vendor is donating an item towards. Proceeds will benefit the Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Angelina’s Ristorante launches three-course summer special

Angelina’s Ristorante in Bonita Springs has unveiled its $49 three-course summer menu, giving locals a chance to enjoy their favorite Italian dishes at a lower price point. First course choices include Caesar salad, cream of mushroom soup, and wagyu carne cruda. Main course offerings include chicken breast with potato puree, shrimp orecchiette, and wagyu beef & veal bolognese lasagna. Choose from peach panna cotta or chocolate torte for dessert.

Nothing Bundt Cakes selling limited-time flavors

Fan-favorite flavor lemon raspberry has returned to Nothing Bundt Cakes just in time for back-to-school season. The fruit-forward dessert is available from July 20 through Aug. 30 in all cake sizes.

For just two weeks, locals can order a turtle cheesecake swirl Bundtlet. Starting July 27, guests can enjoy all the flavors of a classic turtle cheesecake swirled into white cake, topped with Oreo cookie crust, caramel and chocolate drizzle, and toasted pecans. It’ll be available until Aug. 9.

Bha Bha promotes six-course wine dinner

On Thursday, July 30, guests can enjoy a six-course Persian culinary experience alongside acclaimed wine pairings from Silver Oak Cellars and Prince Hill Vineyards. Dinner service begins at 6 p.m. and costs $145 per person, excluding tax and gratuities. The menu includes gravlax laced with caviar, hearts of palm salad with artichokes, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and herbs, mango garlic shrimp, Kashani beef with mushrooms, eggplant, and onions, lamb stuffed with mushrooms and served over couscous, and rosewater & vanilla ice cream topped with pistachios. The Supper Club launches “Passport Wine Dinner Series”

The Supper Club is inviting Naples locals to an immersive culinary experience held on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy a multi-course, regionally-inspired menu paired with carefully-selected wines. Each Wednesday brings a different region into the spotlight.
