Foodies will soon have a new reason to explore Mount Dora’s nationally recognized dining scene.
The Mount Dora Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the inaugural Mount Dora Area Restaurant Week, kicking off on Saturday, July 25, and going through Sunday, Aug. 2.
According to the chamber, the new summer promotion is designed to highlight the area’s growing food landscape by offering special prix fixe-style menus at participating eateries.
Diners can expect what the chamber describes as “accessible” pricing, with lunch menus capped at $30 and dinner menus up to $50.
Organizers launched the initiative to give both residents and visitors an extra incentive to explore the area’s dining options during the slower summer travel season.
“By encouraging patrons to try local favorites, the chamber hopes to support the establishments that continue to build Mount Dora’s reputation as a strong regional food destination,” a spokesperson for the chamber said in a media release.
More than 20 local establishments already have signed on for the initial lineup. Participating restaurants include:
