Wide receiver has become one of the most coveted positions in the NFL and the NFL draft, and Florida’s Eric Singleton Jr. is already drawing significant attention ahead of the 2026 college football season.
In its preseason rankings for the 2027 NFL Draft, The Athletic listed Singleton as the No. 4 senior wide receiver in the country. He trails Oregon’s Evan Stewart, Miami’s Cooper Barkate and Arizona State’s Omarion Miller among seniors.
The ranking reflects the expectations surrounding Singleton as he begins his first season in Gainesville after transferring to Florida. At 5-foot-9-inches and 187 pounds, Singleton has established himself as one of college football’s most explosive receivers, using his big-play ability to become one of the nation’s most offensive weapons.
The wide receiver position is expected to be one of the deepest in the 2027 NFL Draft class.
In recent drafts, wide receivers have consistently been selected near the top. The upcoming class is projected to continue that trend, with several highly regarded underclassmen, including Ohio State star Jeremiah Smith, who generated buzz as a freshman.
After posting the best statistical seasons of his career under offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner, Singleton now reunites with him at Florida, where another explosive campaign could further boost his NFL draft stock.
