BOCA RATON — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision with a Jeep SUV being piloted by a teenage driver, city police said.
Navin Pungoti, 51, was traveling north on a Yiben YB200T motorcycle at about 1:30 p.m. June 26 in the 2100 block of North Dixie Highway when Pungoti struck a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was attempting to turn left out of a shopping mall onto North Dixie.
The Jeep was being driven by a 16-year-old, police said. The crash site is north of Glades Road, past Northeast 20th Street.
Pungoti died at the scene, police said. The teen driver, whose identity was not disclosed, was not injured.
