I-75 shutdown: Northbound outside lanes reopen at Alico Road after arrest

According to the Florida Highway Patrol and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, two northbound outside lanes of Interstate 75 at Alico Road (Exit 128) reopened to traffic just before 5 p.m. today.

There was a massive law enforcement response that led to the shutdown of I-75 near Alico Road on July 22. A murder suspect is now in custody following an armed standoff. The suspect was allegedly involved in a fatal shooting in St. Petersburg earlier today.
