Florida State football has landed a major commitment from 4-star edge Meshi Dobson, who has pledged to the program and reclassified to the Class of 2027.
Dobson, who announced his decision on social media, is the second 4-star prospect to reclassify and commit to the Seminoles program in the last two weeks, joining Za’Kari Johnson, a defensive back from Miami Carol City. Dobson is a 6-foot-3 edge from Cypress Bay in Fort Lauderdale, and he played his sophomore season at Plantation, where he recorded 72 tackles and 14 sacks as a sophomore.
His reclassification means he will skip his junior season and enter his senior year with Miami Carol City before coming to Tallahassee.
Dobson committed to the Seminoles over offers from Miami, Syracuse and other Power 4 institutions.
