The game between the Florida State Seminoles and Alabama Crimson Tide in Doak Campbell Stadium last season was as cathartic and exciting as one would’ve hoped for FSU, and it should come as no surprise that once again, in 2026, the rematch is heavily anticipated.
Lindy’s Sports ranked the 15 best non-conference matchups across the FBS level nationally, and the Seminoles-Crimson Tide game in Tuscaloosa this year is ranked as the sixth-best.
“After the Seminoles shocked the Tide last year but eventually just won two of their last nine games, this is a must-win for Alabama,” they said. “And for Mike Norvell?”
In their lifetime, FSU is 2-3-1 against the Crimson Tide, and prior to the 2025 game, Alabama defeated the Noles in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in 2017, 24-7. Their lone win before 2025 came in 2007 at a neutral site game in Jacksonville, 21-14.
The Seminoles will look to fully even up the series against the Tide when they travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium for their match, which is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
