The 2026 awards season is officially in full swing, with Floridian Ariana Grande nominated for awards in the Critics’ Choice Awards, the Golden Globes, and the Academy Awards this year, following her portrayal of “Glinda the Good Witch” in “Wicked” and “Wicked: For Good.”
The Florida-born multi-hyphenate was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” at both the Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this month and the 83rd annual Golden Globes, which took place on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Grande didn’t take home the Critics’ Choice Award, which was won by Amy Madigan, for her performance in “Weapons,” but did she go home with a Golden Globe this weekend?

Grande was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” for her role as Glinda in “Wicked: For Good,” but the award ultimately went to Teyana Taylor for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in “One Battle After Another.”
“I almost didn’t even write a speech because I didn’t think I was [going to win],” Taylor said in her speech. “Thank you to the Golden Globe voters for seeing me and reminding me that purpose always finds its moment.”

As of Jan. 12, the 2026 Oscar nominations for the 98th Academy Awards have not been announced yet. According to the Academy Awards website, Oscar nominations will be released on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Did Ariana Grande get nominated for a Grammy in 2026?
Ariana Grande is nominated alongside “Wicked” co-star Cynthia Erivo for two Grammy Awards in 2026.
Grande and Erivo are nominated for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for “Defying Gravity.” Grande, Erivo, the entire “Wicked” cast, and the “Wicked” musical composers and producers are also nominated for “Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.”
The 68th annual Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday, Feb. 1, live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcasting live on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.
What is Ariana Grande’s next film?
Grande’s acting resume is rapidly expanding post-Wicked, with three projects currently in the works. The popstar is set to star in the upcoming “Focker In-Law movie”, which will be released in November 2026.
It was also announced last month that she will appear in season 13 of American Horror Story alongside a star-studded cast, including series alums Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, and Evan Peters (who appeared in one of Grande’s music videos).
She’ll also lend her voice to an animated film adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” She posed alongside Josh Gad for Warner Brothers’ announcement, adding that “Wicked” director Jon M. Chu will also direct the movie, along with Jill Culton.

Yes, Grande still plans to pursue music. She reassured her fans in November that she will still hold space for her singing career as she takes on more acting roles.
However, in an episode of “Good Hang With Amy Poehler,” she said her upcoming tour may be her last for a “long time.”
“I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time,” she told Poehler in the Tuesday podcast episode. “So I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful and I think that’s why I’m doing it, because it’s like, one last hurrah.”
She’s preparing to embark on her “Eternal Sunshine Tour,” which will run from June 2026 through Sept. 1. She will perform three sold-out shows at Sunrise’s Amerant Bank Arena over the summer.
