Grande’s Bella Cucina in Palm Beach Gardens has closed after nearly 20 years in business. It appears to have served its final meals July 2, a Thursday night, becoming the second restaurant to leave Donald Ross Village in recent months.
According to the restaurant’s website, owners Graziella and Giuseppe Luppino opened Grande’s Bella Cucina on Feb. 19, 2007. The restaurant became known for its Italian menu, pizzas and courtyard dining space at 4580 Donald Ross Road. The website states that Giuseppe Luppino operated the original Grande’s Bella Cucina in New York before bringing the concept to Florida.
A new Italian restaurant is coming in the same space from an established hospitality group, according to a source not authorized to speak on the record but familiar with the space.
The closure follows the March departure of neighboring Asian Fin, which operated in the plaza for more than a decade before shutting down.
Grande’s departure also comes amid a series of recent changes involving Italian restaurants across the county including the closure and planned rebranding of Prezzo in Palm Beach Gardens and the recent shuttering of Pescatore in West Palm Beach.
