This arcade and restaurant goes beyond burgers for diners of all ages

Whether you fancy yourself an old school pinball wizard, enjoy repelling invaders from space, or need a great meal and a few beverages while the kids game their hearts out, the new improved Arcade Time inside The Mall at Wellington Green can help.

This mecca of fun and food recently relocated from the second floor to a much larger, 13,000-square-foot space on the first floor and celebrated their grand reopening with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 8.

Featuring over 160 games ranging from the newest offerings like Spin Twin City and the immersive “Maverick: Top Gun,” to classic 80s games like Frogger, Pac-Man and Space Invaders along with true old school gems like pinball and billiards, Arcade Time has something for everyone.

Almost as diverse as its gaming selection is the food and cocktail menu.

Arcade Time offers full service dining with both indoor and outdoor seating areas and a large bar section. They maintain their game room street cred with classics like burgers and wings, but the rest of the fare can take things up a few notches.

Bruschetta with toasted Italian bread, diced tomatoes, fresh parmesan, basil and balsamic glaze; the ahi tuna salad with sesame-encrusted seared ahi tuna over Romaine, tomatoes, guacamole, carrots and crispy rice noodles with a sesame dressing; and the Cuban sandwich with ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard are definitely temptations waiting to be explored.

Also demanding some attention are entrees like the 8-ounce filet mignon with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables; the lemon & herb salmon in a white wine, lemon and herb sauce served with coconut rice and vegetables; or the spicy sausage penne served in a spicy pomodoro sauce with sourdough bread.

Ever been to an arcade with a wine selection (in both glass and bottle) or an extensive beer list? They’ve got them both at Arcade Time. They also have a cocktail menu featuring awesomely named libations like the You Had Me at Tequila! made with tequila, triple sec and lime; Pop Fizz featuring vodka, triple sec, Sprite, cherry and actual Pop Rocks; Why So Serious? with rum, sour apple, Moscato, cherry and a blue sugar rim, and many more.

With over 160 different games, the new and improved Arcade Time is an experience that is perfect for kids and adults of all ages. Open from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m., with both a mall entrance and a separate entrance directly to the parking lot, it appeals to a wide age demographic.

“While the mall is open, we see more families,” said director of marketing for Arcade Time Doug Mandell. When the mall closes at 9 p.m., however, Mandell said you’ll see a change. “… it’ll switch, so we do offer that late night entertainment, that late night vibe.”

Regardless of the time, Mandell emphasized, “We’re always family friendly.”

In addition to games, Arcade Time has dozens of big screen televisions, including a massive LED wall, scattered throughout the bar and dining areas.

There are currently five Arcade Time locations in Florida including Wellington, Orlando, Jacksonville, the Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs and The Falls Mall Miami.
