National Weather Service meteorologists continue to forecast more rain and flooding throughout Brevard County as a major storm system brought 6 inches of rain on Friday on top to an already saturated area with more rain expected on Saturday.
A flood advisory remained in effect for Brevard County on Oct. 10 and flash flood warnings were in effect for parts of the county, including West Melbourne.

Heavy rainfall has been consistent throughout the week, saturating the ground and flooding roadways.
In areport issued Friday afternoon, NWS meteorologists advised that those driving on Central Florida roads take extra precautions.
“Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles,” forecasters wrote.
