Aldi to drop 5,000 more blind boxes today. How Floridians can get one

Aldi has a response to the many fans frustrated at not being able to score one of the free blind boxes the discount grocer gave out this week: they’re dropping 5,000 more June 26.

In Aldi’s Blind Box promotion, shoppers had a chance to get free boxes filled with “ALDI fan-favorite products, standout  staples and fresh picks from across every aisle” every day, starting June 22, with the mystery boxes shipped directly to the lucky winners. But when the link went live each day at noon ET, they were snatched up almost instantly.

The grocer told USA TODAY June 25 it is dropping 5,000 more Blind Boxes on Friday, June 26, “based on record demand.”

Aldi said the boxes were given away on a first-come, first-served basis, adding they gave away more than 100 boxes per drop.

“We know ALDI shoppers love our limited-time drops, but the viral demand for the ALDI Blind Box blew us away,” Aldi said in an emailed statement to USA TODAY June 23. “This was a record response — the day one Snack Blind Boxes were claimed almost instantly.”

Now the company has added another day to the promotion and upped the number of boxes it is giving away. The giveaway on Friday, June 26, will feature the Encore Box, which Aldi says is a “mix of craveable snacks, fiber-forward picks and protein powerhouses.”

“Why? Because when the fans get loud, ALDI responds with an encore,” Aldi said in an emailed statement to USA TODAY.

What are Aldi Blind Boxes?

The Aldi Blind Box promotion offered free boxes of Aldi products in four themes, one per day: Snacks, Protein, Fiber, and Mystery.

How do you get an Aldi blind box?

Fans can score an Encore Box the same way the rest of the boxes were claimed. Go to AldiBlindBox.com on Friday before noon and wait. When the countdown timer hits the end at noon each day, select the Encore Box.

You’ll be presented with a series of photo CAPTCHA pages to verify your humanity, and then you’ll be provided with an estimated wait time. Once that’s passed, you can enter your information and then find out if you scored one or not.

Aldi said on the website for the promotion waiting in the queue helps manage high traffic during popular drops by “controlling how many customers can check out at the same time.”

“When demand is high, customers are placed in line and moved through checkout as space becomes available,” Aldi says on the website. “Once you’re in the queue, it cannot reserve inventory, skip customers ahead, or be manually adjusted. It is there to manage traffic and keep checkout running during high-demand events.”

Being in the queue does not guarantee you will receive a Blind Box, according to the grocer.

Where can I find an Aldi near me?

Aldi, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the U.S. this year, has been expanding rapidly in Florida.

The German-born chain has already opened more than 20 new locations here in 2026, on top of 60 last year, bringing the total number of Florida Aldis to around 320, far more than any other state in the nation.
