Prosecutors filed charges Monday against a Barstow woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend with a kitchen knife as he held the couple’s young daughter, law enforcement officials said.
A man called police about 9 p.m. Thursday to report he had been stabbed at an apartment complex in the 700 block of East Virginia Way, according to the Barstow Police Department.
The wounded victim was holding the couple’s 6-year-old daughter when officers arrived to investigate.
Officers determined the man and woman had been involved in a dispute, police said in a written statement.
“During the altercation, [the suspect] grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim as he was holding their daughter,” the statement said.
She was arrested without a struggle, according to officers. An update on the victim’s condition was not available.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed charges of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence against Korrina Glover, 28, on Monday, court records show. She had yet to enter a plea.
Bail was set at $50,000.
