The award-winning barbecue brand Famous Dave’s will celebrate the opening of its newest full-service restaurant in Victorville on Friday, May 29, where the first 100 guests in line will win free ribs for a year.
The ribbon cutting celebration will take place at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 29, at 11920 Amargosa Road in Victorville. Following the ribbon cutting will be a live DJ, giveaways and complimentary rib tastings before the official grand opening, which begins at 4 p.m.
The first 100 guests standing in line between 12 and 4 p.m. will be the lucky winners of free Famous Dave’s ribs from now until May 2027.
The new Victorville Famous Dave’s location
The new Victorville restaurant will feature Famous Dave’s signature pit-smoked barbecue, made-from-scratch sides, an expansive full-service bar with more than 20 beers and daily happy hour specials. Guests will be able to enjoy dine-in, To-Go and catering services for every occasion.
Blending the warmth and character of classic barbecue tradition, the restaurant was created to accommodate everything from family dinners and business lunches to happy hours and game-day gatherings. Multiple TVs throughout the restaurant create a vibrant atmosphere for socializing and watching the big game.
“From the expansive bar to the inviting dining room, this location was thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming space where guests can come together and enjoy great BBQ,” said J.D. Gantes Jr., Director of Marketing at Bluestone Hospitality Group, the company that owns Famous Dave’s.
Not inside Johnny Carino’s
Famous Dave’s previously operated as a take-out restaurant inside of Johnny Carino’s. The duo teamed up during the pandemic while the building underwent renovations.
Famous Dave’s and Johnny Carino’s are owned by the same parent company. CEO of that hospitality group, Alan Gantes, spoke with the Daily Press about the exciting expansion opening soon in the High Desert.
“We had really strong demand, a passion even, for our Famous Dave’s food as a result of the virtual kitchen,” he said. From the positive feedback, brand executives gathered that the cookout chain needed its own brick-and-mortar storefront. The new location will act as a standalone restaurant.
The Famous Dave’s menu
The Famous Dave’s menu features a hearty lineup of award-winning ribs, hickory-smoked meats and classic barbecue favorites inspired by regional flavors from across the U.S. Guests can enjoy favorites like St. Louis-style ribs brushed with Rich & Sassy sauce, Texas beef brisket, Georgia chopped pork, country-roasted chicken, Wilbur beans, creamy coleslaw and Dave’s Famous bread pudding.
Backed by a team of pitmasters, every cut of meat is seasoned and slow-smoked. Family-style feasts and shareable dishes also make Famous Dave’s an ideal gathering place for friends and family.
