A week of law enforcement raids in Victorville, Hesperia and Apple Valley resulted in 87 arrests and the seizure of 49 guns, along with drugs, authorities said Thursday.
The search warrants were carried out between July 14 and July 20 under San Bernardino County’s “Operation Consequences” crime suppression campaign, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
“As a result, investigators contacted gang members and persons prohibited from possessing firearms,” the department said in a written statement. “Investigators made 38 felony arrests and 49 misdemeanor arrests. Suspected methamphetamine and heroin was seized and 49 firearms were recovered during the operation, which included four ghost guns.”

In addition to the sheriff’s department, participating agencies included San Bernardino County Probation, the California Highway Patrol, the San Bernardino police Department, the Barstow Police Department, the Upland Police Department, the Ontario Police Department and the FBI.
The county-funded crime-suppression campaign meant to address quality of life issues began in October of 2022.
