USC men’s basketball’s 2025-2026 season was an extremely disappointing one. However, the Trojans have significantly upgraded their roster this offseason, and have a lot of a hype surrounding them heading into next year.
The start of the 2026-2027 campaign is still months away. Recently, however, USC kicked off its first step in preparing for the season with the start of summer practices.
Musselman should have by far his most talented roster at USC this upcoming season. The Trojans will have proven veteran production in Rodney Rice, KJ Lewis, and Jacob Cofie, and Jalen Cox. They will also have talented rising sophomores Alijah Arenas and Eric Reibe, as well as highly-touted freshmen Christian Collins, Adonis Ratliff, and Darius Ratliff.
With that type of talent and depth, expectations for USC should be quite high entering the 2026-2027 season. As Musselman enters his third season on campus, this is a golden opportunity for him to break through and achieve the level of success that was expected when the Trojans hired him away from Arkansas two years ago.
USC’s full schedule for the 2026-2027 season should be released in the next few months. Expect the season to once again begin in early November, with conference play starting up in December.
