Shasta County supervisor District 5 race sees 3-way race with Kelstrom

Voters from Shasta County District 5 will decide Tuesday’s race between incumbent Supervisor Chris Kelstrom, Anderson Councilman Mike Gallagher and retired business owner Gary Oxley.

To win, candidates will need to receive over 50% of votes cast in the June 2 primary. If no candidate wins, the top two vote-getters will move on to the general election on Nov. 3.

In the 2022 general election, Kelstrom beat out former Anderson Mayor Baron Browning for the position by 445 votes.
