Seattle defenders laugh off Jared Verse's 'beat the Seahawks' comment

In his final meeting with the Los Angeles Rams, Jared Verse shared one last message for his teammates before heading out to Cleveland. After being traded to the Browns, Verse wanted to address the team one more time and during his speech, he had a special request.

“And I told them the most important thing, ‘Make sure’ – and I’m not going to cuss – ‘Make sure you beat the Seahawks. That’s all I care about,’” he said.

Verse has made it very clear that he doesn’t like the Seahawks. They were the team that took the Rams out of first place in the NFC West late last season and then beat them in the conference title game in January, so his disdain is understandable.

Seahawks players caught wind of Verse’s parting message and laughed it off. Nick Emmanwori commented on Adam Schefter’s post and said, “We Left a stain on bra mind” with a laughing emoji.

Defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Jarran Reed also laughed at Verse’s message.

Verse won’t go to battle with his former Rams teammates when they face the Seahawks twice this season, the first meeting coming on Christmas Day in Week 16. Their second matchup is in the season finale in Week 18, which could be for all the marbles in the NFC West.

The Browns are slated to face the Seahawks in 2027, though, which will be Verse’s first crack at Seattle after being traded.
