Win or lose, the Los Angeles Rams are a fun team to watch. After narrowly beating the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon, the Rams have now played three one-score games this season, two of them being decided in the final minutes the last two weeks.
They beat the Colts with an 88-yard touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Tutu Atwell with just 1:33 left in the fourth quarter, going ahead by seven points, 27-20. That was the final score and in his press conference afterwards, Sean McVay had a perfect reaction to the win.
“All right, we’re not a boring team to watch, I guess,” he joked.
McVay’s heartrate was likely through the roof in the fourth quarter when the Rams went from trailing by a touchdown with under 9 minutes left to being tied with 3:20 left to taking the lead in the final two minutes.
And even then, the Colts got the ball with all three timeouts and a chance to win. Kamren Curl picked off Daniel Jones on the ensuing drive to all but seal it, giving the ball back to the offense needing just one first down to ice it.
The Rams would much rather win comfortably than in dramatic fashion like Weeks 1 and 4, but they’ll take any victory they can get.
