Reebok announces the signing of UCLA star Lauren Betts

After rocking Jordan brand apparel during her collegiate career with the UCLA Bruins, NCAA champion Lauren Betts penned an endorsement deal with Reebok says after getting selected fourth overall in the WNBA Draft by the Washington Mystics.

Betts has become one of the most reconizable faces in women’s college basketball over the past two years, or at least one of the most recognizable frames. Betts, the 6’7” center, won the National Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and became UCLA’s all-time blocks leader in her senior season with UCLA.

UCLA was also able to win their first-ever NCAA championship with Betts as their anchor on both sides of the ball. Betts was terrific throughout her tenure as a Bruin but reached a different level in the tournament this season, including scoring a career-high 35 points against Oklahoma State in the Round of 32.

Betts becomes the latest WNBA star to sign with Reebok, as new Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese is the one of the brand’s premier women’s stars. On the men’s side, Arkansas star Darius Acuff Jr. signed with the brand in March.

Since joining UCLA, Betts has become a star. UCLA and Betts have been to the Sweet 16 all three seasons, with the Bruins gaining national recognition. Betts starred alongside her sister, UCLA forward Sienna Betts, in an Allstate insurance commerical that got heavy airplay during March Madness.

Betts’ UCLA teammate, Kiki Rice, was among the first student-athletes to sign a brand deal, as Rice signed with the Jordan brand back in October of 2022.
