A Simi Valley teen was arrested and taken to a juvenile facility on alleged offenses including domestic battery, according to authorities.
On April 17 around 3:47 p.m., Simi Valley Police Department officers responded to a call at the 2200 block of Desert Creek Avenue, according to Sgt. David Stringer of the department.

The 15-year-old resident of the house said his brother, 17, had allegedly locked the brother’s 16-year-old girlfriend inside a closet after an argument between them escalated into a physical assault, according to a department news release.
The younger brother allegedly tried to intervene, leading to a physical fight between the brothers, and the younger brother stepped away to call for help, the release says.
Officers detained the 17-year-old resident and allegedly found the 16-year-old in a closet with “visible injuries to her face, neck, and arms,” the release says.
The 17-year-old was found to be on probation for a previous domestic violence incident involving the 16-year-old girl and was the “restrained party in an active protection order,” the release says.
The 17-year-old teen was arrested and booked into a juvenile facility on suspected felony offenses ranging from domestic battery to violation of court order, the release says.
