Rams waive undrafted rookie CB with injury designation

The Los Angeles Rams returned to their Woodland Hills facility on Saturday as they transition towards the preseason. Putting together what will be the most consequential series of team activities before the regular season, the Rams are set to participate in two joint practices and three preseason games. Those events will determine what the team’s roster looks like heading into Week 1.

While there aren’t many spots open, there seems to be an opportunity for a defensive back or two to secure a long-term role. One of several players looking for that chance has unfortunately seen his attempt come to an end due to injury, as the Rams waived cornerback Drey Norwood with an injury designation.

Norwood, an undrafted rookie out of Missouri, played in 54 games during his collegiate career, starting in 30 of them.
