Rain should move into Southern California from Thursday into the weekend, but weather experts say don’t expect flooding and washed-out roads.
Light rainfall is expected between Thursday and Saturday, with some areas receiving anywhere from .01 to .20 inches of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
The majority of the storm will remain west and south of the Victor Valley, with areas in and close to the mountains getting some rain. Apple Valley, the Cajon Pass, Hesperia, Phelan and Pinon Hills are more likely to experience rainfall.
High temperatures in the Victor Valley should range between 55 and 61 degrees. Overnight temperatures should remain in the 30s.
This year, the first day of spring, marked by the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, happens on Friday, March 20.
