Just past the midway point in the 2025 NFL season, the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame is in the middle of getting trimmed down, and on Wednesday, the senior class was cut to nine semifinalists, including a pair of former Los Angeles Rams – Henry Ellard and Eddie Meador.
Ellard was the Rams’ second-round pick (No. 32 overall) in the 1983 overall draft out of Fresno State. He spent 11 seasons with the Rams, making three Pro Bowls and two All-Pro teams before finishing up his career with five seasons in Washington and one in New England. In 228 games, the wide receiver caught 814 passes for 13,777 yards and 65 touchdowns.
Meador was Los Angeles’ seventh-round pick (No. 80 overall) in the 1959 NFL draft out of Arkansas Tech. He spent 12 seasons with the Rams, making six Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams. In 163 career games, the cornerback recorded 46 interceptions.
